Education & Inspiration

These focus points are both very dear to our hearts and there is always plenty to learn out here!

So how do we capture all of the information that we can in turn share with our visitors?…

Citizen Science : As part of our agreement with the Biodiversity Conservation Trust we use iNaturalist and other Apps to share data that we’ve collected on DD fauna using their state of the art wildlife cameras and sound recording equipment (on loan!) as part of their Land Libraries programme. We invite keen visitors to do the same.

Avenza Maps is a fantastic App that we use regularly, e.g. to communicate where work is to be/ has been done, take photos at the appointed photo points for our annual report and for mapping sites of interest to re-visit.

Educational info’ boards will be added as time goes by and we hope to build a simple Interpretive Visitor Centre in the next couple of years.
